Mar 11 2013 · Sand crusher dust brick screenings etc are all great sub bases for slabs as is crushed rock usually with sand over it so you can get a better level and sand wont puncture the poly when you walk over it If your base level is close to right a layer of sand wont hurt and shouldnt cost you 400
